Among The Hidden is a science fiction book about a boy who was not supposed to be born. This is in the future and the population police have to make sure know family has born then two kids because of a famine. The kid, Luke, is his family's third child. He wants to go outside and be normal but he has to hide or else he will be slaughtered. When he meets a girl who is also a third child, Jen, he finds out that she has a ticket to freedom. Will he take it?
